Our staff works closely with local, county, and state engineers in order to ensure that all zoning ordinances and building codes are maintained. Meet Our Team
James Farley, PE, SE
Principal Engineer & Owner
James (aka Jim) has been with MC Squared since 2006 - part owner since 2014. Jim has designed many multistory hotels, some with post-tensioned concrete decks as well as multi-level apartment buildings. Jim has been involved with marine projects, glass mullion projects, large metal building foundation designs, Super Fund clean-up sites, modernization of existing buildings including a seismic upgrade of a 50-year old steel framed office building to current codes, ratings for existing private and public bridges, design of new bridges, and many other projects.
Before coming to MC Squared Jim worked with Tectonics in Lacey, Washington as a truss designer - giving him a thorough understanding of residential housing design.
Jesse Chace, PE, SE
Principal Engineer & Owner
Jesse has been employed with MC Squared since 2015, and has worked closely with James Farley in the Structural department. Before coming to MC Squared Jesse worked for Bechtel Power as a civil/structural engineer, where he was involved in the design and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures; for heavy industrial facilities, including solid fossil fuel, gas fossil fuel, solar tower array, and nuclear (unescorted access) power plants. Jesse has also worked at Ershigs, Inc. designing FRP industrial projects including storage tanks and exhaust stacks made only of FRP. At MC Squared Jesse has been involved in a multitude of commercial and residential projects, including new construction, remodel, and retrofit projects.
Annette Edwards
Office and Finance Manager
Annette has been part of the MC Squared family for 12 years. She brings a steady hand and a positive attitude to everything she does, helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, Annette loves spending time with her family, gardening, and enjoying time out on the water boating.
Trish Navarro
Administrative Assistant
Trish is our Administrative Assistant supporting the whole team. She ensures smooth day-to-day operations by coordinating schedules, managing documentation, and assisting with project organization. Trish’s attention to detail and commitment to efficiency help keep projects running seamlessly from start to finish. Outside of work, Trish enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves traveling, always eager to discover new places and experiences that inspire her.
Nate Gazaway, PE
Engineer
Nate has been employed with MC Squared since 2022, and previously between 2017 and 2020. Between 2020 and 2022, he was located in Michigan where he worked with Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, INC (AEW).
At MC Squared, Nate primarily works in residential and light commercial design, including the design of marine structures.
At AEW, Nate worked with local municipalities conducting bridge inspections and providing structural design in the remodel of K-12 schools.
Chris Tanner, EIT
Junior Engineer
Chris Tanner has been with MC Squared since 2019. With over 6 years of experience in structural engineering, Chris has worked on a variety of complex projects including large-scale metal building foundations, marine structures, educational, commercial, and religious use facilities, seismic upgrades for existing buildings, and the structural design of numerous residential structures. He has designed bridges for private use vehicle traffic. He has extensive experience providing structural design for prefabricated panel construction for both residential and commercial use.
